Housing for Persons with Development Disabilities
PMHA partnered with the Pike County Board of Developmental Disabilities in 1992 to begin providing housing for the DD population of Pike County. Since then PMHA has developed 11 scattered site units housing approximately 30 persons. Funding from the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities under the Capital Assistance Program has made this possible.
Transitional Housing
PMHA was selected by a local consortium to construct 3 transitional housing units, utilizing a Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) grant. PMHA will work in partnership with the Pike County Outreach Council and the Pike County Partnership for Domestic Violence to provide transitional housing opportunities for homeless persons.
Two of the units are under construction and the Vern Riffe Vocational School is providing students to construct two the three units.
Occupants of these units will receive case management services until permanent housing is obtained.
Scattered Site Housing
PMHA owns 27 scattered site units in the Waverly area available for rent. Housing Choice vouchers are accepted.
